PROGRAMME AWARDS


TERMS AND CONDITIONS
 
1. Entries into the 2017 Beyond Painting Classrooms Employee Volunteer Programme awards will open on 1 June 2017 and close on 21
    July 2017. Winners will be announced at a cocktail celebration on 13 September 2017 at the third Beyond Painting Classrooms Conference
    in Johannesburg.
 
2. Applications will close at 17:00 on 21 July and must be submitted online . Only complete applications, submitted by the deadline
    will be considered.
 
3. Judging will follow in August 2017.
 
4. Decisions of the judges are final.
 
5. For the purposes of this awards programme, employee volunteering refers to “freely-given contribution of time, skills and energy, undertaken
    by employees either within or outside of working hours, which yields social as well as business benefit.” Employee volunteer programmes
    and initiatives can be managed by civil society organisations as well businesses. Employee volunteer programmes and initiatives should
    ideally be underpinned by strategy and policies and procedures. The judging panel is, however, open to considering less formalised
    examples of inspiring employee volunteering, especially when it comes to smaller organisations and businesses.
 
6. Employee volunteering programmes run by NPOs, social enterprises or businesses (small, medium and large) are eligible to apply on
    behalf of the organisation.
 
7. FirstRand will not accept nominations for these awards; applicants must be directly responsible for entering their programme for
    consideration.
 
8. Individual employee volunteers are also not eligible to apply.
 
9. By applying, applicants agree to the terms and conditions of the awards programme.
 
10.To be eligible to apply, the employee volunteering programme initiative(s) which you highlight in your application must take place in South
     Africa.
 
11. To be eligible to apply employee volunteering programme initiatives need to have been in existence for at least one year.
 
12. We reserve the right to reject any incomplete, illegible, false or fraudulent applications.
 
13. Only finalists will be contacted in August to submit a reference, photos and/or videos in support of their application.
 
14. All finalists must attend the awards ceremony on 13 September at the BPC Conference, taking place at the Wanderers
      Club, Illovo Johannesburg
 
15. Being a finalist does not guarantee receiving an award.
 
16. Information provided by the applicant can be shared on our website, social media channels and used to publicise the award programme.
 
17. All finalists must agree to participate in media coverage related to the awards programme.
 
18. The six winners will receive a certificate and gift during an awards ceremony on 13 September at the 2017 BPC conference and media
      coverage during and following the conference.
