NATIONAL EMPLOYEE VOLUNTEER
PROGRAMME AWARDS
 
 
 AWARD CATEGORIES AND CRITERIA
 
BPC will be giving out a total of six awards; to three civil society organisations and to three companies running inspiring employee volunteer programmes and initiatives. Award categories are as follows:
 
Inspiring leadership: This award recognises employee volunteer programmes, initiatives and approaches that demonstrate thought
  leadership in the field, and which inspire other organisations and individuals to get involved with employee volunteering or to do it differently.
 
Partnering for change: This award recognises employee volunteer programmes and initiatives which prioritise and successfully execute a
  partnering approach to employee volunteering. Partnering may be within organisations,between organisations and communities, as well as
  within and across sectors.
 
Creating real value: This award recognises employee volunteer programmes and initiatives which have effectively leveraged employee
   volunteering to bring measurable value for the business, partner organisations and the specific target audience in need.
 
The judging panel will be looking for employee volunteer programmes and initiatives that are:
 
• Innovative: The employee volunteer programme and/or initiative demonstrates a novel, cutting edge or visionary approach to employee
   volunteering in terms of design, implementation or impact.
 
• Strategic: Extent to which the employee volunteer programme and/or initiative is integrated and aligned to an organisation’s mission and
   services or to the core business.
 
• Collaborative: Markers of collaboration are evident amongst key players involved in the planning, implementing and evaluation of the 
   employee volunteering
 
• Impactful: Evidence of business, social and employee volunteer benefit.
